I do agree with the assessment that Fr. Vinod regrettably lacks the wisdom nor the diplomacy to tackle the problems that lie ahead for him to solve as the newly appointed chancellor. As in the case of all other Syro-Malabar hierarchical members, since he is part of the Claver Cross gang, he will definitely lack in wisdom because by rejecting the Crucifix, all these folks including Bishop Angadiath have rejected Jesus Christ himself. In 1 Cor. 1:30 Jesus Christ is "to us the source of wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption." So unless the Crucifix is embraced by these rebellious "spokespersons of the Church", they can never hope to have either the wisdom or any of the other traits to resolve the problems of the Garland Church not to say anything about the much broader problems facing the Diocese. In the present scenario, just as God saved the life of Prophet Balaam in Num. 22:33, unless God works a miracle through the Holy Spirit, their only hope is to come to their senses through insignificant people like us as we read in 1 Cor. 1:27: "God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty." If only they would listen to us, can this happen. But if past record is any indication, chances are they won't. So, the future of the Diocese looks even more bleak as the new Chancellor takes over -- some mighty somber thoughts to ponder over as we evalaute the latest step taken by Bishop Angadiath in appointing Fr. Vinod to his new position as the Chancellor of the Diocese.
If this Bishop is so nice like this then we have a great future ahead in this USA.Or if he is going behind claver people and do all idiot things then we are going to be in trouble.

This is Part 2 of the Article "Another Casualty ..." by Tom Varkey
Just because those in our group go wrong does not give us an excuse to condone or join them. Remember that Jesus has appointed us to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world (Mt. 5:13-14). Therefore we have to stand up for the Crucifix representing the mystery of our salvation and the physical symbol of Christians in general and Catholics in particular world-wide. In Ex. 32:19-29 we read about the horrible sin of idolatry the Israelites committed under the leadership of Aaron in the absence of Moses who had gone up Mt. Sinai to receive the Ten Commandments. The excuse he gave to Moses for succumbing to the pressure of his fellow Israelites and making the golden calf is noteworthy. In Ex. 32:22 Aaron says to Moses: “Do not be angry, my lord … you know how prone these people are to evil. They said to me, ‘Make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt, we don’t know what has happened to him.’ … They gave me the gold, and I threw it into the fire, and out came this calf.”
But God was angry with Aaron and therefore he never set foot on the Promised Land. We are presently faced with a Bishop and his misguided followers asking us not only to pledge allegiance to the man-made Mar Thoma Cross as the golden calf was. Fr. George Madathiparmpil was under pressure to bow to the Mar Thoma Cross as Fr. Joji is being pressured even as we speak. The pressure for him to please Bishop Angadiath may be great. But Fr. Joji and others must consider the consequences by considering what happened to Aaron and most recently to Fr. George Madathiparampil. The greatest mistake that we can make is not to learn from the mistakes of others. In 1 Cor. 10:11 we read: “These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us.” We must take heed to these warnings written down in the Bible to serve as extremely valuable lessons for us. Or else we will also fall as future victims of the Mar Thoma Cross as Fr. Madathiparampil has just fallen. The greater punishment for those who go after idols like the Mar Thoma Cross will be coming in the future. There is no loss that can compare to this whopping loss – the loss of one’s soul as being warned by Jesus Christ Himself in Lk. 9:25: “What does it profit a man to gain the whole world if he suffers the loss of his own soul?” We must come into grip with this lesson as we reflect on the departure of Fr. George Madathiparampil, as Victim No. 3 of the Mar Thoma Cross idol.
Praise be to the Glorious Crucifix of Jesus Christ in which we all must take pride in as nothing else can come even remotely close. There is only one genuine cross just as there is only one true God and everything else is a false god or idol. We gratefully acknowledge the services of Fr. Madathiparampil to our Diocese and wish him all the best as he exits the scene having witnessed fiasco after fiasco as the Battle for the Crucifix rages on in Garland and elsewhere in America.
അങ്ങാടിയത് പിതാവിന് ഒരു തുറന്ന കത്ത്
സ്നേഹം നിറഞ്ഞ പിതാവേ, അങ്ങുന്നു അട്ടപാടിയില്‍ ക്ലവരില്ലാ കാപ്പാ ധരിച്ചു കുര്‍ബാന ചൊല്ലിയതുകണ്ട് ഞങ്ങള്‍ LMC ചരച്ചുകാര്‍ (North Carolina) അല്ഭുതപെട്ടുപോയി. കാരണം ഞങ്ങള്‍ ഒരു പള്ളിക്ക് വേണ്ടി കെട്ടിടം കണ്ടു പിടിച്ചു. അടുത്ത ആഴ്ച അത് വാങ്ങും. അതിന്റെ മത്ബഹ ഉണ്ടാക്കി ഒരു മാസത്തിനുള്ളില്‍ കുര്‍ബാന ചൊല്ലണം. അപ്പോള്‍ മറ്ബഹയില്‍ നടുക്കായി ഒരു വലിയ ക്ലാവര്‍ കുരിശും കവാടത്തില്‍ ഒരു വലിയ ക്ലാവര്‍ വിളക്കും വെക്കാന്‍ തിരുമാനിച്ചിരുന്നു. പിതാവ് ക്ലവര്നു എതിരാണെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു പരത്താന്‍ 2 ബ്ലോഗു കാരും പ്രചരണം നടത്തുന്നു. ആരൊക്കെ എന്തൊക്കെ പറഞ്ഞാലും ഞങ്ങള്‍ LMC Church അങ്ങയുടെ പിന്നില്‍ ക്ലാവര്‍ കുരിശിനുവേണ്ടി മരണം വരെ പോരാടും. അതിന്റെ ഭാകമായി ഞങ്ങളുടെ പുതിയ പള്ളിയുടെ പരിഷ്കരണം തഴെ പറയും വിധം നടത്താന്‍ അനുമതി തരണം.
1 . മത്ബഹയുടെ നടുക്കായി ഒരു വലിയ ക്ലാവര്‍ കുരിശു. (കല്‍ദായ വല്‍ക്കരണം )
2 . ക്ലാവര്‍ കുരിശിന്റെ ഇടതുഭാകതായി ഒരു ത്രിശൂലം. (ഭാരതവല്കരണം ) ത്രിശൂലം എന്ന് ഉദേശിക്കുന്നത് തക്ഷ ശിലയില്‍ ശിവന്‍ തപസ്സു ചെയുന്നിടത് ഇടതു ഭാകതായി കുത്തി നാട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്ന ആ ത്രിശൂലം ഭാരത വല്‍ക്കര്നതിന്റെ ഭാകമായി ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് മത്ബഹയില്‍ തൂക്കാന്‍ അനുമതി നല്‍കണം.
3 . ക്ലാവര്‍ വിളക്ക് വെക്കാനുള്ള അനുമതി അങ്ങുന്നു തരും എന്നറിയാം. ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് മറ്റൊരു ആശയം കൂടി ഉണ്ട്. അതായതു. നമ്മുടെ പള്ളിക്ക് ചുറ്റിനും നിറയെ ക്ലാവര്‍ വിളക് പിടിപ്പിച്ചാല്‍ രാത്രി ആകുമ്പോള്‍ കത്തിക്കാം. നല്ല ഭംഗി കാണും. എറണാകുളത്തുള്ള കലൂര്‍ പാട്ടുപുരക്കല്‍ ദേവി ക്ഷേത്രതിലെപോലെ ചുറ്റു വിളക്ക് പോലെ.
4 . പുറം തിരിഞ്ഞുള്ള കുര്‍ബാന. ( ഇപ്പോള്‍ കിഴക്കേടം അച്ഛന്‍ നേരെ നിന്നാണ് കുര്‍ബാന ചെല്ലുന്നത്. പുതിയ പള്ളി ആയാല്‍ പുറം തിരിഞ്ഞ കുര്‍ബാന നടപ്പാക്കണം. കഴിയുമെങ്കില്‍ പ്രസംഗവും പുറം തിരിഞ്ഞു നടത്താന്‍ പറയണം. കാരണം ഞങ്ങളെ തെറിയും പ്രാക്കും നടത്തുമ്പോള്‍ ഒന്ന് കൂവനാന്നു.
പിന്നെ അവസാനമായി ഞങ്ങളാരും കണ്ടിട്ടില്ലാത്ത ആ ചുവന്ന ശീലയും തൂക്കണം.
ഇവിടെ ഉള്ള ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്കാര്‍ക്കും ക്ലാവര്‍ എന്താ ശീല എന്താ എന്നൊന്നും അറിയത്തില്ല. കാരണം പതിറ്റാണ്ട് കളോളം ഗള്‍ഫ്‌ നാടുകളില്‍ പള്ളിയും പട്ടക്കാരും ഇല്ലാതെ ജീവിച്ചവാരന്നു. അതുകൊണ്ട് പള്ളി കൊണ്ടുവരിക എന്നത് ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് ഒരു ആവേശമാണ്. അതില്‍ എന്ത് തൂക്കിയാലും പിതാവിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം നിറവേറ്റാന്‍ ഞങ്ങള്‍ കാത്തിരിക്കുകയാണ്‌. കൊപ്പലിലെ കോപ്പന്‍ മാരെ പോലെ ഞങ്ങള്‍ ക്ലാവര്‍ വിരുതരല്ല. ഉടന്‍ തന്നെ ക്ലാവര്‍ സ്ലൈഡ് ഷോ ഇവിടെ കാണിക്കണം. പിതാവേ അങ്ങുന്നു നേരിട്ടു വന്നു ഞങ്ങളില്‍ കനിയണമേ
